The Gematria : Looking at the Numbers

In Gematria each letter in the Hebrew alphabet is assigned a number. Aleph is 1, Bet is 2 and so on.

In this work there are three words Love: Ahavah, Hatred: Aivah and Desire: Avah. The root word for all three is Avah ie. desire. From this we see that both love and hatred stem from desire.

If we add up all the numbers assigned to each of the letters, as shown in the table below, we arrive with Three or Gimmel as the final number.
